The flexibility of LeaderGuide Pro Plus helped immensely while I was working freelance for a non-profit home for at-risk and neglected youth called Promise Village.
I was asked to create training documents that would be presented in training by their staff, some of whom were therapists, social workers, or office administrators – NOT professional presenters.
The ability to customize the blocks (thus, adding some basic actions like “Click to advance slide or run animation”, “Point & Click” to initiate a hyperlink to a video clip on the internet, and “Tell a Story”) allowed me to direct non-trainers to do a professional job of presenting.

I made the directions for these novice presenters much more explicit than I would have for seasoned presenters. For example, on this page I made a block to tell the presenter to wait for the headline and all images to reveal, and another to click to advance slide and trigger the next animation (which I had set up to animate on click).
I would not have added the timing and click blocks with seasoned presenters. I also made sure that the Notes Page View in PowerPoint was exactly what was in the “Say” block in their Leader Guide so that while using Presenter View during the presentation they would be familiar with the words they had rehearsed from their Leader Guide.
I rehearsed with each novice presenter one time online, using Adobe Connect, demonstrating how I would present their session. Then had them practice for a few days before demonstrating to me how they would present it. Upon arrival at the training event, I rehearsed each novice presenter one time face-to-face, showing them how to use the Presenter View of PowerPoint 2010. Because they had prepared with Leader Guide Pro, they were ready. During the training sessions you could not tell the newbies from the seasoned pro. I was very proud of all of them. The evaluations were consistently stellar.
