There have been a few scattered reports of our software, George for PowerPoint, not loading. Specifically the reported issue is -- the install program runs fine but when PowerPoint is opened George's tab on the toolbar does not appear.
We found in one case the settings in PowerPoint 2003 (Tools>Options>Security>Macro Setting) were not allowing trusted add-ins to function. Changing this setting to trust the George add-in resolved the issue. However, this was not the resolution for a few other instances of the reported problem.
We are troubled by what we found, particularly when it was done by corporate IT departments.
George for PowerPoint will only function with a genuine Microsoft authorized and registered version of PowerPoint. Software piracy is illegal and in court, ignorance of the law is not a valid defense. We take software licensing, distribution, and use restrictions seriously.
