george! ribbon in PPT 2007

george! for PowerPoint 2003 has all of the same buttons and functionality.

Follow 3 simple steps and george! will do your bidding:

  • Define your Preferences by telling george! how to set up your pages and what Style you would like
  • Tag the slides that start new topics and subtopics so that george! knows how to set up your Table of Contents
  • Create your documents: Speaker Notes and/or Session Handouts

LeaderGuide Pro 7 Plus users can also create leader guides and participant guides!

george! creates Word documents that include a:

  • Cover page
  • Acknowledgments page
  • Table of Contents
  • Content pages containing the slides and notes being pulled over from PowerPoint

Define

Here is the Define Preferences dialog box:

When you click on Documents while defining your preferences, you are taken into this dialog box

Define Preferences allows you to:

  • Specify exactly what size your imported slide images will be in your Speaker Notes and Session Handouts
  • Specify whether or not a frame will appear around your slide images
  • Include a copyright and revision date on the Acknowledgments page
  • Include a logo or other graphic on your document's Cover page
  • Set up your Speaker Notes in 20 different page layout and document styles
  • Set up your Session Handouts in 20 different page layout and document styles

Tag

Tags group on george! ribbon Tags allow you to:

  • set up your Table of Contents
  • and your documents' page headers

Starting with the first slide in your file, you simply:

  • click on the first slide of a topic or subtopic
  • and then click on the Add button

When you click on the Add button you see this dialog box:

Notice that in dialog box above george! is addressing the user as "Smart and Beautiful One". This is because that is how she asked george! to address her. And, to his credit, he does so even on her bad hair days!

Create

After adding your Tags, you are ready to create your documents.

All you do is click on the Create button and this dialog box appears:

Update button If changes are made to your PowerPoint file after you have created your documents:

  • george! will update the Word documents that were created from the source PowerPoint file

Reset Links button And if the location of your document files changes:

  • george! will reset his links to the Word documents he created so that he will be able to Update the documents if you ask him to

george! and LeaderGuide Pro 7 Plus

For LeaderGuide Pro™ 7 Plus users, george! will create Leader Guides & Participant Guides directly from your PowerPoint files.

And, george! will size your imported slide images according to your specifications, as well as adding frames around your imported slide images or not - again, based on your preferences.

And, best of all, george! will update your leader guides and participant guides directly from PowerPoint if changes are made to the slides and/or notes in the source PowerPoint file.

NOTE: george! and LeaderGuide Pro 7 Plus will not interact while either product is in Demo mode:

While you can see the options, the george! functionality that allows you to use george! to send slides and notes to leader guides and participant guides will not execute if you are using either product in Demo mode.
