Is the red text in an LGPro document supposed to show on the printed copy?

No. We have the red text set as “Hidden Text” so that you can see it on the screen, but it doesn’t print.

If you are seeing the red text in printed documents, then there is a setting in Word that you need to adjust on your computer. Your system is set to “Print hidden text” even though normally this is something you wouldn’t want. So, to fix this, assuming you do not normally need to print hidden text, follow these simple steps:

• Open Word
• Click on File in the upper left corner of your screen
• In the screen that comes up, click on Options, in the column on the left, under File
• In the screen that comes up, click on Display
• In the screen that comes up, look to the right - under Printing options and UN-check “Print hidden text”
• Then, in the lower right corner of the screen, click OK and then close out of this area

You can test this adjustment by printing the last page of a leader guide or the TAG (Training At A Glance) page. You now shouldn’t see any red text.

And, if in the future you do need to print hidden text for some reason, just follow these steps and CHECK the “Print hidden text” option.
