Guide Sheet: How to Attach the LGPro 7 or LGPro 6 template to a Word file

LeaderGuide Pro™ 7 Users

To attach the V7 LeaderGuide Pro™ template or ParticipantGuide Pro™ template in all versions of Word

• Do NOT open the file that you want to attach the template to
• Open LeaderGuide Pro or ParticipantGuide Pro
• Click on the Special button
• Click on Attach LGPro template or Attach PGPro template
• Follow the prompts to browse and find the file you want to attach the template to
• Highlight the file name and click on Open
• The template will be attached
• Follow this same procedure to attach any of the PGPro templates

LeaderGuide Pro™ 6 Users

To attach the template to another document in Word 2003

• Open the file you want to attach the template to
• On the Word toolbar, click on Tools/Templates and Add-ins
• In the dialog box that appears click on Attach
• Navigate to the location on your computer that LeaderGuide Pro™ is installed to, such as:
  • C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\Great Circle Learning\LeaderGuide Pro
  • C:\Program Files\Great Circle Learning\LeaderGuide Pro
  • C:\Great Circle Learning\LeaderGuide Pro
• Highlight LGPro.dot or PGPro.dot
• Click on OPEN
• You will see the Templates and Add-inns dialog box again
• Click OK
• The LGPro or PGPro tool bars/ribbons will now be showing and available for use

To Attach the V6 or earlier LeaderGuide Pro™ template in Word 2007

• Open the file created using LeaderGuide Pro
• Click on the Office button (top left)
• Select Word Options (down in the bottom of the dialog box)
• Click on Add-Ins
• In the bottom of the dialog box next to Manage: select Templates from the drop down menu and click Go
• In the dialog box that appears select the Templates tab if it is not already showing
• In the box under the title Document template you should see GreatCircleLearning\LeaderGuidePro\LGPro.dot
• Click Attach
• Navigate to Computer\C Drive\Great Circle Learning\LeaderGuide Pro
• Double click on LGPro.dot (or PGPro.dot, whichever you want to attach)
• You will be taken back to the Templates and Add-ins dialog box. Click OK
• Now, along the top of your screen, click on Add Ins and you should see the LeaderGuide Pro Toolbars.
