Curriculum:
Pharmaceutical Sales This half-day introductory workshop looks at Mentoring from the recipient's, sometimes called Mentee's, perspective. It is designed for pharmaceutical sales representatives determined to get the most out of their mentoring relationships.
Learning Objectives
- Describe what proactive mentoring is and contrast it to other forms of development
- Identify the characteristics of successful mentors and mentees
- Describe the key performance elements in a structured, managed and proactive mentoring relationship
- Create a personalized Plan of Action for being mentored
Activities
- Pre-work reading of "The Practice of Mentoring".
- Great Expectations: Knowing the difference and what to expect from role-models, coaches, teachers, trainers, and mentors, versus proactive mentors.
- Who's on First? Roles and responsibilities in proactive mentoring.
- My Favorite Mentor: Analysis and discussion of an industry specific cases as well as participant's personal experiences with mentors and mentoring.
- Can I ride along with you? Creating a proactive plan for being mentored.
