Pharmaceutical Sales

Mentoring is a development process characterized by the sharing of knowledge, skill, and experience. Proactive Mentoring is a focused and applied process targeting specific skills, behaviors and knowledge. This one-day workshop is for those in the organization who are willing to be mentors. It teaches the Proactive Mentoring methodology and the unique aspects of the process required for pharmaceutical sales professionals.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe what proactive mentoring is and contrast it to other forms of development.
  • Identify the characteristics of successful mentors and mentees.
  • Analyze your personal style preferences and what they mean in the context of mentoring.
  • Respond appropriately to requests to provide formal or informal mentoring of others.
  • Apply a variety of strategies to share your experience and knowledge through proactive mentoring.
  • Describe the key performance elements in a structured, managed and proactive mentoring relationship.
  • Identify the role of the mentee’s manager in the mentoring process.
  • Create a strategic Mentoring Plan of Action for a person you are mentoring.

Activities

  • Pre-work reading of "The Practice of Mentoring".
  • Great Expectations: Knowing the difference and what a mentee can gain from role-models, coaches, teachers, trainers, and informal mentors versus proactive mentors.
  • Who's on First?: Roles and responsibilities in proactive mentoring.
  • My Favorite Mentor or Mentee: Analysis and discussion of personal experiences and what was learned.
  • Put Me in Coach I'm Ready to Play: Are you really ready to be a mentor and what wisdom can you share?
  • Can I ride along with you?: How to create a strategic Mentoring Plan of Action.

Attendees

  • Managers, Directors, and Senior Sales Professionals
  • 12 - 30 participants per class (minimum - maximum)

  • The one-day Proactive Mentoring workshop with 30 participants is $290 per person.

Terms & Conditions

  • Based upon the information you provide in your Request for Quote, Great Circle Learning issues a formal written price quotation and contract for the services.
  • A signed acceptance of our quotation and contract, along with a booking fee equal to one-half of the full program/project fee, is due at time of scheduling.
  • For workshops, 5-days prior to the start date of the program, full payment of the remaining balance is required. 
  • For customized self-study programs, payment terms are provided in the quotation.
